Morwood Constructions was recommended by a friend who had experience with their work.  We arranged to meet Tony and visited a build he had just completed.  We were impressed by the quality of the workmanship, attention to detail, and obvious pride in the finished product.  There was no pressure to sign a contract and Tony made several visits to our build site to discuss plans.  We had specific requirements to accommodate during our renovation and extension, and Tony worked around those to deliver the end product.

This was our first build and we were anxious about the whole process – pressure, decisions to be made, budget, and we have all heard stories of problems with builders!  Fortunately, we could not have imagined a smoother process.   Tony was approachable and helpful at all times and worked with us to find solutions to any problems that arose.  He was honest and went out of his way to achieve a result that both builder and client were happy with.  There is no doubt that Tony and his staff wanted a quality finished product as much as we did.

Morwood constructions is an outstanding and professional builder. From the very first meeting I felt at ease talking to Tony, explaining what I was after. He listened and offered advice from planning stage through to completion. Having a young family and worrying about the construction going on around us I found Tony went out of his way to make the build as comfortable as possible. Tony was involved in the extensive renovation of our 1970s brick house. We renovated the kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms and outdoor areas over a 2 year period of time.

Tony was actively involved in the design of these areas – at all levels, from how the areas would function and flow, to what colours and accessories we should use – his ideas were great – both from a functional point of view and also from the budgetary point of view.

Tony was acutely aware of our budgetary constraints and worked actively to keep within the budget with suggestions about how to minimise the budget whilst not compromising on quality or style.

Tony and his staff were a pleasure to have around the house; they were polite at all times and left the house in a safe and clean state at the end of every day and at the end of the build.

The quality of the work performed on our home was exceptional, and we now have a beautiful stylish home that is very practical and functional for our growing family.

 

Morwood Constructions built a rear deck and remedied structural problems at our 60 year old Nambour home.

Tony was invariably friendly, approachable and unflappable, even when faced with several awkward renovation problems at the rear of the house. He made the whole renovation a painless process for us.  His recommendations were always well-thought out and clearly explained.

At the start Tony made practical suggestions about the design of our deck. These included a high floating roof detached from the house itself which ensured both shelter from rain and unimpeded air flow. He was keen to make the renovation fit with the style of our 1950s house.

He shepherded all design work and approvals smoothly through the requisite engineering and council processes.  Tony kept us fully informed at all stages of building and discussed any proposed alterations to the design or schedule as work proceeded. His effective liaison with other tradesmen (plumber, electrician, dingo operator) ensured that work proceeded harmoniously and with appropriate quality control.  The building site was kept tidy, cleaned up at the end of each day and there was minimal disruption to our daily activities.

We appreciated Tony’s knowledge of sustainable building practices and were very pleased with his suggestion of the use of Queensland-sourced cypress pine for our deck.  He looked for ways to recycle existing timber, sheeting and mouldings as part of the renovations. We are very pleased with the quality of his work and look forward to many enjoyable hours on our new back deck.
